TÜBİTAK Congress for Turkish Scientists Living Abroad

With the partnership of Turkish Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology and TÜBİTAK, about 100 Turkish Scientists who live outside of Turkey, were brought together on July 12 and 13 in Istanbul. The aim of the congress was to discuss Turkey's initiatives in science.   full story

Young Scientists Profile: Conversation with Gizem Dönmez

Gizem Dönmez: I graduated from ODTU (Middle East Technical University) Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics in 2000. Then, I did my M.Sc and PhD in Gottingen Germany at the Max-Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry on Molecular Biology and Biochemistry. Then, I came to MIT in 2007 and continued with my postdoctoral studies.   full story

O mekanizmanın ben başarılı olacağına inanıyorum çünkü TÜBİTAK Türkiye’de çok önemli araştırmalar yapan bir kurumdur. Yeni dönemde daha da dinamizm kazanacak. Özellikle hem araştırmalar yapılması hemde yapılan araştırmaların ticarileşmesi konusuda büyük bir atılım içerisinde olacak TÜBİTAK. Council on Foreign Relations: US-Turkey Report

On May 9, 2012 Council on Foreign Relations unveiled the report of a Task Force on U.S.-Turkey Relations; A new partnership. The chairs of the task force were Madeline K. Albright and Stephen J. Young Scientists Profile: Conversation with Melis Anahtar

My parents are both Turkish and immigrated to the U.S. one year before I was born. I was raised in the suburbs of DC, and had the opportunity to attend public schools that had special programs for gifted students interested in pursuing advanced classes in math, science, and computer science. These programs and other extracurricular activities fostered my love of the sciences and gave me opportunities to explore my interests.   full story

TASSA 2012 Conference was a great success!

TASSA has completed another chapter with remarkable success by its Annual Conference at University of Maryland on March 3-4, 2012. More than 400 eminent scientists and scholars from both the United States and Turkey attended the meeting in growing numbers and created once again a spectacular showcase towards building a sustainable science bridge.   full story

TASSA and TÜBİTAK Meeting at the Turkish Embassy Washington DC

TASSA met with the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) on April 9, 2012 at the Turkish Embassy in Washington DC. The agenda of the meeting was the development of a road map to make Turkey attractive for Turkish scientists and scholars abroad.   full story
