The TASSA 2026 Conference will take place October 2-4, 2026 at the Sancar Turkish Cultural and Community Center in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
Please note: hotels in Chapel Hill are fully booked for the conference weekend due to a major sporting event in town. Rooms across the area are filling quickly, so please arrange your accommodation as early as possible.
Short-term rentals (Airbnb, Vrbo)
We recommend that attendees also consider apartment and home rentals through Airbnb or Vrbo. Rentals in Chapel Hill, Carrboro, and Durham are often available even when hotels are sold out, are typically within 10 to 20 minutes of the venue, and can be a cost-effective option for groups of colleagues or students traveling together. When searching, enter the conference dates (check-in October 1 or 2, check-out October 4 or 5) and look for listings in Chapel Hill, Carrboro, Durham, or Research Triangle Park.

Getting to the venue: All four hotels are a short drive from RDU Airport. Ride-share services (Uber, Lyft) and rental cars are readily available; free parking is available at the Sancar Center. We encourage attendees to coordinate carpooling.
