TASSA 2026 Call for Abstracts

"Bridging Innovation in the Era of AI: Transnational Impact Across the U.S. and Türkiye"

The Turkish American Scientists and Scholars Association (TASSA) invites abstract submissions for the poster and lightning presentation sessions of the TASSA 2026 Annual Conference, to be held on October 2–4, 2026, at the Sancar Turkish Cultural and Community Center in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

TASSA conferences bring together scientists, scholars, innovators, entrepreneurs, students, and leaders from academia, industry, government, and the nonprofit sector to strengthen scientific, technological, educational, and cultural bridges between the United States and Türkiye.

The theme of TASSA 2026, “Bridging Innovation in the Era of AI: Transnational Impact Across the U.S. and Türkiye,” highlights the transformative role of artificial intelligence, science, engineering, health, education, social sciences, and the humanities in shaping the future of global collaboration. We especially encourage submissions that present innovative research, interdisciplinary approaches, translational impact, emerging technologies, and opportunities for U.S.-Türkiye collaboration.

To complement keynote talks, panels, and thematic sessions, we invite principal investigators, faculty members, research scientists, postdoctoral fellows, graduate and undergraduate students, entrepreneurs, and professionals to submit abstracts describing original research, scholarly work, innovation projects, or translational initiatives.

Suggested abstract categories include:

  •     Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Emerging Technologies
  •     Health, Medicine, Biotechnology, and Life Sciences
  •     Engineering, Physical Sciences, and Sustainability
  •     Social Sciences, Arts, Humanities, and Education
  •     Economics, Business, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation
  •     Transnational Collaboration, Science Diplomacy, and Societal Impact

A selected group of abstracts will be invited for lightning talks, providing presenters an opportunity to share their work with the broader TASSA 2026 audience. Additional accepted abstracts will be presented during the poster session, which will serve as a dynamic forum for scientific exchange, networking, mentorship, and collaboration.

We particularly welcome submissions from students and early-career researchers, as well as work that demonstrates potential for cross-institutional, interdisciplinary, or U.S.-Türkiye collaborative impact.
