TASSA 2016 Poster Presentations

You are invited to submit an abstract to be considered for poster presentation at the upcoming TASSA 2016 conference, which will be held at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, on April 2-3, 2016.

The poster sessions are intended to provide a convenient and informal forum to stimulate the exchange of ideas and knowledge. We expect that attendees from Turkey and the US will find this environment suitable to initiate discussions towards fruitful future collaborations.

Poster presentations will be held in two categories:

1) Scientific Presentations: These presentations will serve as a platform for principal investigators, students, postdoctoral fellows, and researchers to present their research efforts. There are four sub-categories that encompass the four Technical Groups of TASSA:

• Engineering & Applied Sciences
• Health & Biomedical Sciences
• Natural Sciences
• Social Sciences, Arts & Humanities

2) Institutional Presentations: These presentations will introduce institutes, research labs, universities, and other large and small initiatives to TASSA members and conference attendees.

General Rules and Guidelines for Poster Presentations

• Poster presentations are initiated by submitting an abstract.
• Each abstract will be reviewed by the Poster Session Committee for (a) scientific content of the research and its relevance, and (b) its adherence to standard formatting rules. Please follow the generally accepted rules of preparation of professional scientific documents for your abstracts and posters. Once the abstract is accepted, the authors will be notified by the Poster Session Committee and receive further information regarding poster presentation rules.
• Abstract submissions are considered for poster presentation only.
• Abstracts should be submitted via email to poster@tassausa.org. The subject line of the email should read “Abstract to be considered for poster presentation at TASSA 2016 conference” and the abstract text should be attached as a PDF file. The PDF attachment must include:
  • Full names, affiliations, and email addresses of the authors of the poster
  • Title
  • Abstract (250 words max).
  • Category (choose one of “Engineering & Applied Sciences, Health & Biomedical Sciences, Natural Sciences & Social Sciences, Art & Humanities”
• The dimensions of the poster board are 3 feet x 4 feet. Please make sure that your poster size should be smaller than the board dimensions. Poster boards will be numbered prior to the poster session and you will be notified about your poster number by email. You will mount your materials on the board using push pins, which will be provided.
• Audiovisual or power outlets may not be available for poster presentations.
