Dr. Can Geylani is announced to be the recipient of AACR-CRUK Fellowship

American Association for Cancer Research (AACR)–Cancer Research UK (CRUK) announced Dr. Can Geylani as the recipient of the Transatlantic Fellowship. Dr. Geylani, a researcher at the Medical School of Harvard University, has been awarded $400,000 over four years to establish his postdoctoral research program at the Medical School of Harvard University.
According to Cancer Research UK, “Dr. Geylani aims to uncover new factors that regulate the replication of ‘difficult-to-replicate’ loci, such as common fragile sites, which are among the most frequently rearranged genomic loci in cancer genomes. By elucidating the regulation of DNA replication in mitosis, Geylani hopes to reveal new targets for anti-cancer therapies.”
