Outcome of the 2010 Special General Assembly
The TASSA 2010 Special General Assembly, conducted online between April 19 and April 26, 2010, has now been completed.
The voting of the motion, moved by the TASSA Board of Directors, was considered as the single agenda item of the Special General Assembly. The motion was passed with a unanimous vote.
As a result:
- Bulent Basol, Daver Kahvecioglu, David Cuthell, Ferhat Esen, Haluk Unal, Huseyin Abut, and Ozgur Kocaturk have been approved as members of the Transition Team,
- The TASSA Bylaws have been suspended and temporarily replaced with the Terms of Reference for the Transition Team,
- TASSA's Board of Directors has been dissolved and all its authority has been transferred to the Transition Team effective today, May 5, 2010, and
- Murat Tarimcilar has been appointed as the chair of a TASSA Conference to be held in
The outcome of this Special General Assembly reflects the strong commitment of TASSA members to restructuring our organization, and their confidence in the Transition Team to carry out this task. We wish them much success.
