TASSA is invited to participate in Science and Engineering Diaspora Event

NODES (Networks of Diasporas for Science and Technology), a partnership between the Department of State, AAAS, and the National Academies, is holding a Science Diaspora Event in Boston on February 14, 2013. TASSA is invited because State Department considers TASSA as an organization that has been building and supporting the Turkish Science Diaspora in the US.  Dr. Gizem Dönmez, Assistant Professor at Tufts University will deliver a presentation on TASSA at the event.

The event includes breakout sessions to discuss: IT Platforms and networks for diaspora engagement, Women diaspora networks, Funding and diaspora activities, Institutional perspectives for diaspora engagement. Also, there will be a panel moderated by Dr. Mark Ferguson (Science Foundation Ireland) including distinguished guests sharing their perspectives on diaspora networks: Dr. E. William Colglazier (State Department), Dr. Romain Murenzi (TWAS), Dr. Nicholas Farrell (WGNIS), Geneive Brown-Metzger (Jamaican Diaspora).
