Ihsan Dogramaci International Relations for Peace Prize - 2006

Turkish Foreign Policy Institute invites applications for the ihsan DoramacI International Relations FOR PEACE PRIZE to be awarded in April 2006.

Applicants must have made scholarly contributions to the development and improvement of international relations and to friendship and rapprochement among nations.

Those applicant (s) who have been chosen by the jury will receive a prize in the amount of USD$20,000.-, a medal and a certificate in a ceremony to be held in April 2006. If more than one person is found to be eligible, the Prize will be divided equally among the winners.

Individuals may apply on their own behalf or they may be nominated by an institution engaged in activity compatible with the objectives of the Prize. There will be no discrimination among the applicants as to language, religion, race, citizenship, sex profession or any other similar ground. Juridical persons may also apply.

Applicants must send the following materials to the Foreign Policy Institute:

A statement of up to 500 words explaining the reasons for applying for the Prize;

A rsum, including complete contact information;

Two letters of recommendation from well-known personalities or institutions familiar with the scholarly achievements of the applicant;

Two copies of his/her original works that the applicant thinks the Jury should study.

Applications must be postmarked no later than November 30, 2005. All materials must be included in the application package.
