TASSA 2008 Elections and Call for Nominations

TASSA Bylaws and Elections Committee (BEC) hereby invites nominations for the following positions for two-year terms, 2009-2010 (all terms start on January 1st and end on December 31st of the calendar years specified):

• Treasurer
• Membership Committee Chair
• One representative for the Health and Biomedical Sciences Technical Group
• Two Auditors

Nomination Rules:

• A nominee for any position listed above must have been a Regular Member of TASSA for at least 12 months and must have paid his/her membership due for this year by October 15th 2008
• Any member may nominate any other member after obtaining his/her approval
• The candidate’s bio, not exceeding 500 words, should accompany the nomination
• Self nominations are accepted
• The candidates are required to submit their personal statements, not exceeding 500 words, explaining their vision, priorities, and overall strategic thrust they envision for TASSA
• All nominations and the supporting documents should be sent to election@tassausa.org

Election Timeline:

• October 15, 2008: Last day for paying 2008 membership dues to be eligible for nomination and voting
• October 15, 2008: Last day for nominations
• November 5, 2008: Announcement of election slate
• November 15, 2008: Start of voting period
• December 15, 2008: End of voting period
• December 17, 2008: Announcement of election results
