Post‐Doctoral Fellow Position at Drexel University

Drexel University, School of Biomedical Engineering, Science and Health Systems has an immediate opening for a post‐doctoral fellow to join a research group developing multiscale models of nitric oxide mechanisms in the microcirculation.

The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in a related field such as Math, biology, physics, biomedical engineering and bioengineering and should have a strong background and interest in computational modeling. The applicant must have a foundation in advanced mathematics and numerical analysis, understanding of physiology and in particular the principles underlying the structure and transport in the circulation. Experience in technical computing is essential and background in 3‐D software packages such as Comsol is desirable.

The post‐doctoral fellow is expected to focus on the development of the model and to help integrate intracellular nitric oxide production and transport data with extracellular, vascular and tissue transport properties under normal and pathological conditions.
