Multiple Faculty Positions at Meliksah University

Meliksah University (MU) is a private university established in Kayseri, Turkey.  Despite being a new institution, it has become one of the prestigious universities in the region as well as in the country and ranked 12th amongst foundation Universities of Turkey.  The university is committed to giving a quality education to its students and to establishing strong cooperation between the university and local industry. MU aims to establish a world class research University with exceptional faculty members.

MU is currently seeking creative, adaptable full-time faculty members who enjoy working in a university climate that promotes cultural diversity and multicultural understanding.  The faculty is expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, and develop new courses in his/her discipline and should be committed to establishing an externally funded research program in his/her field. 

MU invites applications for multiple faculty positions in following Schools and Departments at the ranks of Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor.  Review of applications will begin immediately, and will continue until the positions are filled.

Available positions are as follows:

Faculty of Art and Sciences

Department of Phycology: The candidates should have Ph.D. one of the following areas:
Clinical psychology, counseling psychology, social psychology, experimental
psychology, industrial and organizational psychology, cognitive psychology.

Department of English Language and Literature: Applicants should have background in Applied Linguistics.

Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences

Department of Business Administration: The candidates should have Ph.D. degree in operations management/production management, business management, accounting, finance.

Department of Political Science and International Sciences: All applications will be considered, but preference will be given to candidates with specializations in: International Security, African Politics, Middle East, Political Philosophy, Foreign Policy Analysis, Turkish Politics, and/or International Organizations.

Department of International Trade and Business: The candidates should have a Ph.D. in international business.

Department of Architecture: The candidates should have background in one of following areas:

Department of Civil Engineering: The candidates should have background in one of following areas:
Reinforced Concrete Structures & Steel Structures), Construction materials, Mechanics, Geotechnics

Department of Computer Engineering: The candidates should have background in one of following areas:

Faculty of Law

Department of Law: The candidates should have background in one of following areas: Civil law, International Law, philosophy and sociology of law, criminal law and criminal procedure, law history, financial law, private international law

Minimum Qualifications:
* Ph.D. degree in the specified disciplines
* Evidence of research qualifications supported by publications or grant activities

The salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Location: Kayseri, a city over one million, is located at the geographical center of Turkey.  It is about 4-5 hour drive from both Black Sea in the north and Mediterranean Sea in the south.  Along with many historical and natural places, Kayseri has an excellent ski resort in mount Erciyes and only one hour drive from Cappadocia region.
The city has the highest development rate in the region and is very successful in establishing strategic industry-university partnerships.
