Candidates should have a demonstrated potential for outstanding research and the promise of inspired teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a program of funded research in his or her area of expertise, including the advising of undergraduate, and graduate students. Candidates will be expected to engage in professional and community service, and to serve on department, college, and university-level committees. Candidates should have exceptional communication skills and a strong desire to work in a collaborative environment. Candidates must hold a doctorate degree and be in command of the English language.

ABOUT MEF UNIVERSITY
MEF University is a private foundation university that was established in 2012. The University will receive the first incoming freshman students in the 2014-2015 academic year. The MEF education institutions serving high school students was established in 1972, leading to the establishment of the MEF private primary and high schools in 1996, as well as the MEF International schools in Istanbul and Izmir in 1998.
The MEF University has five schools and the curriculum of all courses will be in English. The teaching method will be primarily based on the technology oriented, “Flipped Classroom” model. This innovative model requires Faculty members to prepare videos and deliver lectures electronically, which will be accessible to students online. Students will be expected to prepare for courses prior to the classroom hours through reading and viewing online course videos and other on-line information. Classroom hours will be spent on discussions based on the weekly material, and challenging questions brought to class by students and the faculty member. Classes will enable an active learning environment.
MEF aims to establish a world-class research university with world class scholars and educators. MEF is also seeking international partners/universities to establish 3+2 programs (Bachelor Science and Master Degrees) in all program areas.
