Dr. Aysegül Gündüz Receives Provost’s Excellence Award for Assistant Professors

Dr. Aysegül Gündüz received 2017 Excellence Award for Assistant Professors, presented by University of Florida’s Provost’s Office. The awards program recognizes research accomplishments by junior faculty members and it includes $5,000 to support the faculty member’s research-related expenses such as travel, equipment, books and graduate students. Dr. Gündüz was one of 10 UF Awardees.

Dr. Gündüz is the Director of the Brain Mapping Laboratory and an Assistant Professor at the J. Crayton Pruitt Family Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Florida. Her research interests include neural interfacing, neural signal processing, neuromodulation, neurological disorders, as well as cortical and deep brain stimulation in human subjects.
