For the past 12 years, Buyuk Dogu Yazilim has been involved in software development projects for the health informatics industry. We have developed the first “Information System Software for Family Physicians” in Turkey and have a 30% share of the FMIS market. We also developed the first “Central Laboratory Information System” that collects blood sample data from clients all around Turkey, securely transfer them to the laboratory, obtain test results and send them to clients all in a matter of minutes. One of our last projects is the Public Health Information System (HSBS), which was developed for the Turkish Ministry of Health. HSBS uses a wide variety of web technologies, such as server side generic handlers, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery (extended by our developers), Java Applets, Electronic Signature, Open Layers–3, Geo-Json, HL-7, WCF Web Services, SQL Server and Oracle RDMS and more.

Our company has been engaged in continuous R&D investments for the last few years. All of our R&D projects are being supported by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK). One of our government supported R&D projects, E-vital, is a Health Data Cloud System which collects vital health data (such as heart rate, blood pressure, temperature, and oxygen saturation) through clients’ Android smart phones that can communicate with various digital measuring instruments via Bluetooth, such as sphygmomanometer, thermometers, and pulse oximeter. E-Vital’s mobile application sends this data to our cloud web services, which analyzes this data and uses anomaly detection algorithms to find the out of limit values, sharing them immediately with the patient's physician and contacting person by sending SMS or e-mail. E-Vital has also a web portal, developed for managing the system and parameters, viewing the patients’ historical health data, as well as helping analyze this data and a BI interface to present reports to users.
