Izmir Institue of Technology (IzTech) invites applications for faculty positions at assistant or associate professor levels to participate in gradute programs at the Department of Bioengineering. We seek highly qualified and motivated investigators at early- or mid-career level with a strong research program in the fields of bioengineering. The priority research areas are targeted by this search are biomaterials, tissue engineering, drug development, cellular and molecular engineering, imaging, bioinstrumentation, diagnostics, biosensor technologies, microfluidics, neuroengineering, systems biology or bioinformatics. Applicants should possess a bachelor’s and/or doctoral degree in Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Genetic Engineering or a closely related discipline. The successful candidates are expected to be involved in the growth of the program and demonstrate strong commitment to excellence in graduate education and the capability for establishing a strong, externally funded research program. The appointments are immediately available.
The Department of Bioengineering at IzTech is a newly established department with modern research spaces. IzTech, one of the state universities in Turkey, was established in 1992 aiming to offer a high level of education and carrying out exemplary research in technological fields. The campus is located in Gulbahce near Urla with ready access to local beaches and attractive sites. The instruction language at the Institute is English.
