Assistant or Associate Professor Position(s) in Chemistry Chemistry Department at Middle East Technical University, located in the capital of Turkey, Ankara, invites applications for the position of Assistant or Associate Professor levels. The department has a student-centered teaching environment with strong encouragement in research activity. Senior candidates at the Associate Professor level are expected to have a thriving research program that is externally funded; junior candidates at the Assistant  Professorship level will be expected to develop external funding to support research endeavors. Responsibilities include recruit, retain, and advise students, teaching, develop curricula, and participate in departmental governance as part of a team and other academic responsibilities.

Position Description
Full-time, academic year, tenure-track position(s) in Chemistry Department.

Responsibilities
Include recruit, retain, and advise students, teaching, develop curricula, and participate in departmental governance as part of a team and other academic responsibilities. Teaching assignments will include general chemistry for majors and non-majors as well as assignments in advanced courses in the candidate's specialty. The department has specific needs in biochemistry, polymer, physical, inorganic, analytical, theoretical and organic chemistry but all other disciplines will be considered. Candidates with a multi-disciplinary background or interests are strongly encouraged to apply.

Required Qualifications / Specialized Skills
Ph.D. in chemistry, or related discipline is required at the time of hiring. Successful candidates must be committed to quality undergraduate education and will be expected to develop and maintain an active research.
